NSW wants to become “the world’s most customer-centric government” and the Federal government has a vision for Australia to become a “top 3 digital government in the world by 2025. By any objective measure how are they, and other jurisdictions across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), faring?
Since 2016, Intermedium’s Digital Government Readiness Indicator (DGRI) has provided a ‘no place to hide’ report on the jurisdictional digital transformation leaders and laggards. Recognised as the authoritative and comparative ranking of government digital enablement progress across ANZ, it has been cited in budget papers and parliamentary reports.
Now in its sixth year, the DGRI’s digital enabler assessment criteria are: the existence of ICT strategies; policies; governance arrangements; service delivery entities; and evidence of collaboration.
