NSW procurement changes: Most multinationals safe – for now

NSW Government agencies must soon choose local suppliers for contracts above $7.5 million or explain ‘why not’, under a policy directive from procurement minister Courtney Houssos.

The directive, published on 9 September, left the definition of a local NSW-based supplier unclear, but new guidance issued to agencies suggests that multinationals need not panic.
