Invited | An individual who has been invited to attend a seminar or event. Invitees may include industry professionals, researchers, academics, analysts, journalists, or government employees and ministers. |
Invited Tender | A type of procurement where the agency or organisation inviting the tender selects a limited number of potential suppliers to submit bids for a specific project or contract. The invitations are usually sent to suppliers who have previously expressed interest, or who have been identified through market research or other means. Invited tenders are typically used for complex projects or contracts, or when there is a limited pool of suppliers with the required capabilities. |
IoT | The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects, devices, vehicles, buildings, and other items that are embedded with sensors, software, and connectivity, enabling them to exchange data and connect to the internet. |
IT Managed Services | The outsourcing of the management and maintenance of an organisation's IT systems and infrastructure to a third-party service provider. These services may include hardware and software management, network and security monitoring, data backup and recovery, help desk support, and other IT-related tasks. |
IT Services | A wide range of services related to information technology that are provided to government agencies or departments. These services may include hardware and software installation and maintenance, network management, database administration, cyber security and other related services. The aim of these services is to ensure the effective and efficient use of technology to support the delivery of government services and programs. |
IT Services Unspecified | A wide range of services related to information technology that are provided to government agencies or departments. These services may include hardware and software installation and maintenance, network management, database administration, cyber security and other related services. Judiciary | The branch of government that is responsible for the administration of justice and the interpretation and application of the law. The judiciary is independent of the other branches of government, such as the executive and legislative branches, and is responsible for ensuring that disputes are resolved fairly and impartially. The judiciary includes courts and tribunals at various levels, including the High Court of Australia, federal courts, state and territory supreme courts, district and local courts, and specialist tribunals. |
Justice | Agencies responsible for administering justice and maintaining law and order. This includes courts, tribunals, law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, and related bodies such as victim support services and legal aid commissions. |
Labour Hire | Labour hire, also known as temporary staffing or contingent staffing, is the hiring of workers on a short-term basis to meet specific business needs. Labour hire workers are employed by a staffing agency or a third-party service provider and are contracted to work for a client organisation for a specific period of time. Includes all services contracted to provide support and assistance under the direction of a public service manager. |
Laptop | A portable personal computer that is designed for mobile use and typically includes a keyboard, display screen, and rechargeable battery in a single thin and light device. It is often smaller and more versatile than a desktop computer. |
